Lordy, Lordy, sakes alive, I come back to "Number Five!" Four was good, so was three, They'll go down in history. Santa Claus has come and went, Y2K didn't make a dent, Now all my money has been well spent, Oh my God, forgot the rent!! Livin' under an overpass, It ain't so bad till the trucks go past. Gotta a warm coat and a pack of smokes, Call Balladeer, there's a roach! Guess it could be so much worse, could be passing over in long black hearse, It would be nicer if I had a home? Hey Balladeer, how bout'a loan? Yall be good and have a good year, It won't be long, I'll reappear, To 'rag old 'deer and piss off Nan, And pester Longjohn, cuz he's da man! |

Happy new Year Toe...and all the rest of the gang....We too survived the Y2K and all the stuff that goes with New Years...we actually were very very good....(Kids in the house and all that , too) But, its back to normal for us now, started the New Year off right by staying in bed 15 hours...LOL |

When it's an overpass you can get by When it's a bypass, though, your time is over Just smoke those butts from gutters, man And steal food from some dog named Rover. Just know, when your life is without, In Balladeer you've got a friend. I'm always there to help you out... Which way did you come in??? Its good to see you've moved up, The gutter was unkind to you. Your pigs and drunks "room mates" Really didn't have a clue. They tried to keep you in the stream, When the rains washed off the street. They didn't think of the pollution, From the runoff to the sea. All they wanted was a room mate, Who would take a Mother Nature bath. When you refused they exiled you, To the Interstate overpass. So now you claim your new address, Is dry and out of the cold. Its too bad the truckers must hold their breath, As they pass right through your home. Hey there, Toe, ya scalawag. I hope this year finds you well and happy. You've been great this past year. I hope we get to meet in person some fine day. |
