Another Day I Get To Be With You |

Rhinestones of ice hang on the branches Outside my window in the morn. Winter has swept a chilling hand All is sleeping, waiting to be reborn. The wind plays its part, a howling That rents the peaceful still. Icy tendrils creeping further inward Setting rhinestones where it will. Silvery twinkles cast from pale moonlight The sun is still fast asleep. The fire that my home hearth brings Is a promise of warmth to keep. My home is a haven from the wintry chill A place where love is spoken. A diamond in the midst of mere rhinestones. A place of healing the tired and broken. I can feel the cold just outside my flimsy door A New Year is dawning soon. Boding ill winds or blissful peace no one knows All I can really trust is You. Thank You Lord for my peace of mind For not leading me into panic. For giving me a Bible to ease any fears So I will not give in to all that's manic. My joy in You is there, for everyone to see. You are my strength, my rock. You are my high place to see things as they are. Thank you for hearing my knock. My home is my haven, and You are the King Love is spoken in Your Name. A diamond You have given me among mere stones Tired and broken You love me just the same. So this new year, amidst the panic and the fear. I know that thou art with me. Whatever happens here is just another day Another day I get to be with thee. By: Shawna R. Holder 12/99 Poetry~ Words falling on paper, painting a dream. Shawna R. Holder Boise, Idaho |

WildChild: This is beautiful.. HUGS Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. |

Very lovely! ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |
