If I could paint a picture
Of these visions in my head.
It would tell a story
Of why these tears were shed.

And there upon the canvas
Would be a portrait of you.
The colors I would use
Would be different shades of blue.

If I could play a song
To show you how I feel.
You would hear a melancholy tune.
A broken heart I would reveal.

The solemn strum of the harp
Would play a mournful sound.
To guide these lonely teardrops
As they softly hit the ground.

If I could have one wish.
I know what it would be.
To find the love we lost
And bring it back to me.

Then a brilliant sparkle would crown the sky.
And together our hearts would once more blend.
For watching you smile makes my life worthwhile.
And a happy person I would be again.

Wow Eloise...how lovely!!  So very sad...I can relate to this!!  It seems you wrote a poem about how I feel!!  Almost as if I had asked you to put words to my pain!!

Well Done!!
