I know I’ll never have you All to myself - I know I’ll spend my whole life Up on a shelf ... - - - Waiting for your sweet face Coming in the door... Waiting for your warm embrace ‘Till you leave me for - - - The other girl who wants to be Lonely; Until the times when you feel like Leaving me. - - - Can it be your honey charm Smoothing out the pain? Can it be your loving arms Shielding off the rain? - - - I realize that you love me, And that you love her too - I’ll wait for you and take the rest, After she is through. |

I'm so glad that stuff is forever gone from this life. I do pray that your talking of a past love and everything is mush better now. But whatever the case I do like your projections and it's good to see you on top again. |

I don't think you should sit on that shelf and wait for anybody! Go out there and meet somebody new! Great poem! Denise |

My friend- Dusting off the 'things' on the shelf can sure give you a look at where you've been. Wonderfully tender, as always. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
