Love doesn't live here anymore Love doesn't live here anymore just faded memories of us before A house so haunted without you here a warmth that's missing without you near A lonely world now of solitude I languish here in this empty mood Ghosts of you buried in my mind I'm left without purpose I find A void full of lingering pain, you long since gone, but yet remain Love so sweet flowed from our bed a river of sadness flows now instead Thoughts of us far from fleeting what purpose served, our first meeting A vacancy left in my withering heart a lonely depth now to start An emptiness reaching into soul beyond thinking I can ever let go Your gone, taking that which you broght those happy times, all for naught Only sadness now to haunt this room sorrow I feel, has me totally consumed You used to be my one and only now here I sit, just me and lonely Dear heart, I pray, return to me forgiveness awaits, just hear my plea Endless days, nights, stareing at floor cause Love doesn't live here anymore. |

Oh Danny you broke my heart! This is so sad. Loving someone is never for nothing or in vain. It's all a part of the learning and growing we must do through life. Excellent poem. -SEA |

Danny~ SEA is right~ Part of loving someone is also learning to let go~ In letting go, well you finish this... Could be your next poem? Sigh... yours was beautiful... Marie~ |

Love doesn't live here anymore, But do you see me on the floor? Stand up tall and see the light, If she's gone, she didn't treat you right. Let go of all the pain and see that she was not who you thought she was or simply not the one for you. True love does not walk out and leave you to your pain. It will find you some day just realize that you are worth standing beside. Learn from what happened and be stronger for it. (that's all for my 2 cent philosophy lesson...lol) |

Beautifully written Danny. The heart takes time to heal. Forgiving is part of the healing process. Keep writing let the emotion out and you will feel better. |

OH...what contrasts we have in this forum! Danny, this one is full of such ache and despair. Those empty feelings are displayed so perfectly with your word choices. As always, a pleasure to read your work. Sherry< !signature--> **read again...wow...I just love these two lines: "love so sweet flowed from our bed, a river of sadness flows now instead" High Five on that one...great writing! "The finest qualities of our nature, like the bloom on fruits, can be preserved only by the most delicate handling. Yet, we do not treat ourselves nor another thus tenderly." ~Henry David Thoreau [This message has been edited by simplyYRREHS (edited 01-31-2000).] |

Danny, having come from here myself, my heart goes out to you. You've expressed this wonderfully. Marriage in name only is no type of marriage to be in. |

Danny, This was beautiful. You'll find love again one day! Just live each day, day by day for now. It'll get easier with time. |
