The Explanation - For You All |

A sound came from my right As I was walking down Fifth and Third Then came into sight As dark as the night A burned dragon was what I heard. The poor guy had the second degree I felt really sorry for him; Not my expertise But from what I could see His chances of living were slim... The burns on his scales looked pretty bad So I called a medic that never arrived The expression he had Was that he was sad And it would be something if he survived. Then I did something I couldn't explain So much that I startled myself-- On him my hands lain Somehow relieved pain And restored him to near-full health... His scales were shiny and healthy again And gone were the burns I observed-- His wounds did mend My help I did lend And that the poor guy did deserve. But what just happened to him and I To this day I don't understand I look to the sky And I ask why An answer I did demand; But got none. My theory goes, if you truly care Then there's nothing you can't do-- Like what happened there, It gave me a scare And at the time I wish I knew. But I know now. Try it sometime, you might be surprised The miracles right before your eyes. ___________________________________________________________ To everyone: Thanks to Denise (dsnyder), I can finally explain how I write poems so fast--if you care enough, you can do anything! And to Scorched Dragon: I hope you recognize that you gave me this idea as well! I like Exile's "Questions on Dragons", too. |

I loved it. I loved it so much I wrote a little something in responce to maybe expand abit on this little stary of your's. Hope I did you justice. "Life's greatest mystery isn't the meaning of life. To love and be loved is the meaning of life. Now how to attain those is the greatest mystery of all." |
