Why did I look at you
Even when I know
It means nothing to you?

Why did I call your name
Even when I know
Your feelings are still the same?

Why did I touch your face
Even when I know
I'd be falling from grace?

Why did I fall in love with you
Even when I know
I can never be with you?

I want to share
All your joys and sorrows
But you will never care
'cause I'm just a little sparrow

We live in different worlds
But I still refuse to see
You and I can never be together
You were never meant for me.

Koon, so sad. One day your true love will await you, probably when you least expect.

Why, indeed? Why do we fall for things we cannot have....an answer I'd sure like to have. But we do....over and over again. Excellent writing to make one think.

How tragic and sad, this description of love that cannot be.  ~sigh~

WELCOME TO PASSIONS, Koon, where you're sure to find a seat in which to put your X.

Your poem moved me to tears, how well I understand what you go through and how lucky we are to have poetry to express it through.
I needed a good cry, thankyou!

You have painted the story of so many in nice words, wellcome to Passions
Well done

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Not being meant to be together with one only leaves the door open for "the RIGHT one". Beautiful and sad. Keep the door open, enjoy the "visitors" who will come and go while waiting...... -SEA

Hey Koon,
Well I can  totally relate to this poem because I am currently going through it.  It is very indeed sad when you can't have someone you so desire to be with.  I am sure love will be on its way shortly.  Keep it up

You make love so sad.  It must be hard loving someone who you know in your heart you can never be with.

I'm so happy that so many of you can relate to my poem. It makes me feel so warm. At least I know there are people on the same boat elsewhere. Thanx for your support.

The term "unrequited love" comes to mind...

Koon, don't wait for someone to bring you flowers... plant your own garden~

Koon - why why why?  That was my question for so long ... all of these things you have described in this poem, I know I have gone through myself!  i have felt this same way, I felt it for YEARS actually.  I neglected to let myself truly fall for another because I loved him so...and you know what?  I have now, and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me, or so it seems right now!  I still do love the object that this guy that this poem of your was once so perfect for, but I understand now and I don't love him so intensely now...and I am gradually falling in love with someone else to replace what my feelings for the one who can not be!  Did that all make sense?  I hope so -- its kind of late and I am kind of tired...but I hope it made sense none the less.  Anyways, Welcome to Passions, this really was a wonderful poem, and I did really like it!     Keep it up!

If you love something, set it free, if it comes back to you, its meant to be...

Beri - I've tried to let go but seeing her at least once a week, every week, is really too hard for me to forget her. Every other girls just seem so pale compared to her. But I can't ask the the big question coz there are some things at stake which cannot be sacrificed. I hope I can get through this. Thanx for your support anyway and all the nice words.
