"To Live Without You"

To live without you I must,
Leave myself somewhere,
Unguarded and defensless,
Agianst all that I fear.

To leave behind your eyes,
Is to let go of the memories,
That live inside your smile,
Portraying everything I need.

To say goodbye to the moonlight,
That grazed down upon my soul,
The instant I fell in love with you,
Knowing everything I need to know.

To go back back on all the promises,
That have held my life together,
"I'll never leave your side,"
"We'll always be together."

I could never live without you,
My life is where you are,
The dreams and aspirations,
Built on falling stars.

Without you I am no one,
That I would rather be,
My future would stand frozen,
Without you here with me.

To live without you, I could not,
Bear to take the pain,
We have lost each other once before,
And I promise love, "never agian."

Only after trying so hard to let go, did i realize how much i wanted to hold you forever> Amber and Ellis forever and always

Very touching Amber. You have added a true taste of reality to letting go of a loved one. Your poem feels both tragic and beautiful at the same time. Bravo.

Amber this is so beautiful and heartfelt
Very good in writing and expression
Now just make sure you do hold on, both that is. Very nice

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

I want you all to know that I am truly touched that you could take the time to read and really understand what my poems are about and where i am coming from. You dont find that kind of understanding with many poeple and i feel so lucky to have found it here. Thank you.
