Degrees Of Love
~Marge Tindal~

So cold you'd surely think
this was the frozen earth.
The icy chill of a heart
with no warmth.

Along comes a new love
and the temperature's rising.
A few degrees make the difference
and that's not surprising.

Slowly with care,
the heart starts to wear
the signs of fire
blazing everywhere.

The temperature is rising
in this heart of mine.
I like the heat,
it suits me fine.

A love to warm
this heart in my chest.
Of all the degrees ...
I like best !

Wow Marge!  Go for the heat sweetie, although how that heart of yours could get any warmer is beyond me.

Now, Denise-
You're turning the thermostat
up way too high!

Corrine-
Sizzling?  Well, it would be
a welcomed change from the cold, huh?

That's a cute one, Marge...temperature is going in reverse here, what does that mean?

Hey, Marge! I'l like to be the fire
That fills that heart with hot desire.
I'd like to be that red-hot flame
To burn you up and feel the same.

Please let me warm your chilly night
With new degrees of Fahrenheit
And chase away the evening chill
With passion 'till you've had your fill.

Fire rescue needs to be on call
If I'm allowed to give my all
The sun's hot spots will pale beside
The heat I'll make you feel inside.

We'll have cumbustibility
If you will give that heart to me
So what say, Marge? Unlock that latch
Let's see if we can make a match!

Means you need a new thermostat?
Or may a new repairman?
Or another log for the fire?
Thanks for the read, gal.
Stay warm in S.C.

Speaking of hot--you're on FIRE!
This is a great poem!
And speaking of fire...hmm...would you like fire-breathing lessons?

Dear Marge,

Fantastic poem! Piles of fun!

You've had Dale and me in stitches of laughter tonight!  We didn't know you had it in you!  Go for it, girl!

My husband sings ballads to me - the likes of which could not be beat - I fell head over heels as a teenager, and here I am, so many years later, and still melting in puddles at his feet!

Now, Sam ...
Didn't anyone tell you that
my second profession is as a
pyrotechnist?
Fire-breathing dragons
are right up my alley.
Honey, I don't TAKE lessons,
I GIVE 'em !

Rosemary and Dale-
Well life must be producing 'cabin fever'
if you can't find something more amusing than little ole me ! (But, thanks)

Glad to know I'm the subject of discussion
and laughter in your home and in your hearts.
Thanks ... now, throw another log on the fire !  So nice to sit at the hearth of a friend.

Marge - great poem from a great lady.  i like the way you moved from cold to hot with that sweet transition.

'Deer - great response!  Remember, only YOU can invent forest fires.

Well what have we here
Not only a nice poem
But (blush) a hot hot lady too
Just check your temperature control Marge
How sweet
