Venus I gaze at you though hungry eyes and see a face with no disguise and make out eyes that can’t tell lies yet piercing sharp like a vixen wise I think and dream and lust for you for the hunger in me to subdue but one more look at you will woo my fleeting thoughts enslaved by you and end up sad and feeling blue If not for a word from high above from the One true Mighty God of Love So the sight of you is born anew a heavenly glow with no ado like watching Venus from a riverboat sailing on Blue Bayou |
