well hello everybody here at the forum! I happend to end up on netpoets.com while searching for a poem to write to my girlfriend who is at the moment in Uruguay, staying there for seven month ( (and me sitting here in germany) I found exactly what i sought so i thought to give something back. The following poem was for the same girl. We splited up after 6 year and I just thought that not all was lost so I put down my thoughts in a poem and hey! we are still together now! (2 years later) Hope we will be when the 7 month have passed. Ok, thanks for reading this gabble no on to the poem ;-) the forest In the waning light of an old day I went for a walk on streets of clay to the forest of our love I go as, in the west, the sun sets low. Like the day, the forest has grown old autumn has come to it, wet and cold opening the door for winter following on autumns heels. Leaves had changed from lively green to dying brown and on my face a little frown. I wonder where live and love had gone, happiness and joy and fun. Replaced by sadness, silence, sorrow as long not trodden path I follow. Seeing things long not seen, finding places I´ve long not been; and as the old day dies before me lies a flower, small and fragile, growing in the fallen leaves blooming, in spite of all the grieves carrying in its heart the breath of spring that future yet still might bring breathing live to tree and branch I turn around and come to you and hope you see this flower too. And mybe, if its strong enough winter will not kill our love. It might be changed, it might be new but I hope you see this flower too. All the best and take care Bjoern |

You're a very vivid poet indeed, and I must say she's a smart lady to hold on to you!!! Best of luck to you, and welcome to passions!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Well hello there, best regards and welcome. I'm Glad you joined. Your poem is very good "Sehr Gut" Hope to see more of it. And hang on to her, she is worth it. Say hi to my Heimatland for me will yah The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Bjoern this is well written and touching. It seems you are far apart but still in each others heart. My son Jeremiah is in the army in Germany until 2002. Are you in the military? James |

Hi jmlee! Thanks for the nice comment I wasn´t in the army. I´ve chosen the civil service which seemed to me a better choice. But all the best to your son here. I hope he enjoys his work here. |
