I left a house a long time ago and started on a journey, to where and what I was looking for I could'nt tell you, I only knew I had to move on. I walked,I hiked for miles and years around, over and through mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes and oceans. Up and down highways, gravel roads seering heat, waist high snow with air so cold it took my breath away. Until I found a town called Grace with the Motto:"Seek his face". I spent alot of time walking fourty blocks, looking behind to make sure I wouldn't get lost and could always go back. I found a road called Hope Way and no longer did I care where I came from but felt only desire for where I was going. I was drawn to take off my hiking boots now torn, dirty and worn as well as my pack now filled with all that I had and collected along the way and left them on the corner. I walked down the soft, smooth, warm road for many miles still, until I was drawn to a house much like the one I left so long ago. There was a man on the porch who invited me up. So I grabbed the rail and climbed the ten stairs to the top. As I reached the porch I looked up and found myself standing inside the doorway with a feeling of complete peace, joy, love, hope, comfort, safe within the door jam I stood looking in through his eyes wanting to enter but paralyzed in all the feelings until a voice called and said ENTER, I can't I don't know how JUST ASK THE MAN INSIDE OF YOU was the only clue JUST ASK and the man said, HE IS OUR FATHER, HE ALREADY KNOWS WHAT WE WANT AND WHAT WE NEED HE JUST LIKES TO HEAR IT FROM YOU. Father may I come in? WELCOME HOME MY SON. [This message has been edited by Paul Hoekman (edited 01-24-2000).] |

I write this reply as the goose pimples slowly disappear from my skin. I have taken that journey my friend. I have found my home, there are times when I wander too far from that house but I always am shown the path home. Well done. |

Paul this was fantastic! He always welcomes us in! Please won't you grace us with your wonderful works in Spiritual? The road is long the burdens heavy, come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I shall give you rest!< !signature--> <*\\\>< Where there is faith, there is love. Paul, I keep coming back to this one. It seems that although I began my journey first - birth order wise, that is - you passed me somewhere along the way and now I am following you. And what a wonderful journey it is. Although that road may not always be smooth and warm, this helps me to remember that all I ever have to do to get over the rough patches is to remember that God's door is open for everyone, always. Hope to see you back here soon. It soothes the soul. WendyLynne |
