.
fold me, hold me
like a dove
kiss me, miss me
when I'm near
touch me, touch me
while I live
Don't wait until I die, my love

gently, softly
like a prayer
tuck me, send me
hold my hand
call me, hear me
from above
Defend me when I fall, my love

This is great!  Tender, brief, meaningful.

I am familiar with this feeling and you have expressed it for me.

Kevin, I love the message of this poem...and reading it, very slowly, the second time through, I was thinking how lovely and moving it would be, sung something like kdlang's "Save Me." Really do love this.
