She looks out upon the water
Wondering what ever happened to her
The smell so fresh and wind so cool
Makes her sight so much farther
Little does she know, one exists too,
Her equal, just across the water

Sometimes he thinks of her,
Sometimes she thinks of him

He looks out upon the same blue lake
Wondering what it will take
To be immortal together
A picture they would make
As waves getting wetter
Getting lost in the memory wake

Sometimes he thinks of her,
Sometimes she thinks of him

If only their eyes, lids open could see
Each other waiting distantly
A perfect mirror of one another
Each, a lifetime waiting patiently
Will that time come? they wonder
Would that it could, one day be

Sometimes he thinks of her,
Sometimes she thinks of him

Sometimes it’s all she can take
When she becomes,
The lady of the lake

Thanks, Ted. I notice you go to U. Mich...one of my favorite football teams.

Thanks so much Denise, I'm sorry I'm not replying on yours, but let me just say how good they are here and everyone's too. I'm glad I found this site...now maybe I can get inspired to get over this writer's block, and post new ones.

JML-
Man if this is writer's block ...
I want to see what you spin when
the muses come !

Your work has tender and poignant touch.
Admirable.

That is so nice of you Marge. I guess, don't we all feel like Garth of Wayne's World when i say..."I'm not worthy!"
