Standing alone on the terrace
her face lit by a single lamp
rain splashing her gently
her dress transparent caused by damp

watchful eyes appraised her from inside
as she and the rain danced as one
the silhouette the tapping of her heels
synchronised beating of his heart had begun

completely unaware of the vision she made
she lifted her face to the light
he glimpsed a smile and heard her laugh
turning to face him - he felt passion ignite

The voice telling him to take this chance
he opened the door with almost no sound
as they moved together and began to dance
orchestrated raindrops splashing the ground

A single owl whispered in the night air
bodies locking - retreating then advancing
silk slipping off leaving her bare
In the moonlight, shadows dancing...

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

Ack!  (fanning myself furiously)

Love the rain, love the dance, love the imagery ...

Do me a favor, Rainbow -- post the REST of this in adult, if you please ... k?

Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Rainbow-

You did it beautifully.
It fairly ~dances~ off the page.

I have been awed by all the different
poems that have been created in response
to the same suggestion.  Such beauty in
them all.

Romance just lives in you doesn't it Rainbow

I don't buy temporary insanity as they murder defense. Because
people kill people. That's and animal instinct. I think breaking
into someone's home and ironing all their clothes is temporary
insanity.

Nothing more sensual than "dancing" in the rain!

Lovely poem!
