SupplicationBring forth the rage, the demon dark dogs Bring them to feed in my tombs Shred my face bloody, peel skin from my skull Pry open my raw sickened wounds Bring forth the illness, the mad lusting death Fetch me the fingers of pity Summon the spasms of sanity lost Just leave me to rot in this city Claire |

Hi, Claire. I see you're well into the "anger" stage of grieving. Here's hoping you get through that part of it soon, because it's a healthy place to be for a li'l while, but soon grows toxic and hollowing. Great poem, by the way. Take care. Mike |

Still in shock......a strong effect this one has. But then I think that was the point. Seems to cry out for pain to come. Full effect in motion here Drive it like you stole it...LOL And another thing...When I rev my engine I want people to think the world is coming to a end....hehehe |

First Knight...interesting response...thanks for reading. Yes, this was written with bitterness as the parchment and pain as the ink. Claire |

I agree! Very powerful portrayal of a dark mood, indeed! Well done, Claire! Denise And slight is the sting of his trouble Whose winnings are less than his worth; For he who is honest is noble, Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~ |

Initial reaction..."YIKES". Reaction after reading again..."YIKES, still". Thought after chewing for a few minutes..."Very strong, very natural, very much a stage of life" So much emotion wrapped up in choice of words ~ That's great writing! Enjoyed! Ah... talk about a bad hair day. Feel sorry for the guy who got hit with this one! Glad it was a long time ago and you're feeling better now. Did I say this was strong stuff? |

Powerful = yes scared me = yes Hope you don't actually feel this way If so Here is a hug to make you feel better Here is a laugh to make you smile Here is a hand to help Here is a friend on whom you can depend A strong poem The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

Local Rebel...thank you for reading this. Darkness and bitterness are, at times, somewhat too real, aren't they? Hoot Owl...thanks for reading and for the "powerful" response. Denise...thank you, as well, for reading and kind commentary. Sherry...thanks for reading and rereading and taking the time to chew and respond. Andrew...thank you. Actually this didn't "hit" anything but my keyboard. My editor's a fast ducker. Helmut...thank you, didn't mean to frighten you (or anyone). And thank you for the hugs, hands, laughter, smiles, and friendship...such welcomed gifts of the heart. Claire |

Quite a powerful poem you have here Claire WoW ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ Love is such a lonely art, and death is but a taste. Minds are merely instruments that often go to waste! ~*~ ^i^ ~*~ |

Methinks you got more than just a few aggressions out on this one, Claire... |
