Hair of spinning gold
arms just as wide
5 years of age
angelic smile of child

Knows nothing other than truth
and the feeling of a mother's love
taught well by my sister
put in practise by many a hug

but little arms opened wide
to greet an Aunty called Me
the gifts between to be opened
as she sat contented on my knee

How she snuggled inside my arms
as off to bed the two of us did go
this darling little angel
that made life inside me flow

Tiffany the jeweller living on Bond street
charges us the earth
to design and fashion gifts in gold
that hold no measure to your worth

Not even, a silver duck..

In case anyone wonders what this is about. I last saw my niece Tif, when she was 5, in fact it's the only time I saw her and we fell in love, you know, that kind of love between child and adult, or two children in this case *g* and now she's a mum of two and I love her dearly and bought her a silver duck and she still has it and treasures it and until tonight I didn't know she was reading what I wrote...so, Tif...here's to you and your Nursing career...you're special Tif and so is the love between us...

Well now that I've gotten the tears out of my eyes....Cindy, this is so precious! What a wonderful, sentimental, loving poem! I'm sure she's crying now too!   HUGS

Rainbow-

Awwwwwww !  What a wonderful slice of love you've served up here.

It reminds me of a special little niece of mine named Rachel who was also five when I met her for the first time.  We have that same spectacular bond that 'just is'.

Very special loving words from a
lady easy to love.

Kleenex??????
Somebody give me a towel
A compliment would not get close
So well and nice you written this
Thank you

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
