He Had A Dream

He had a Dream
A promise for all
in the land of Freedom
This was Liberty's call

He had a Dream
to all it was spoken
in a time of unrest
many promises broken

He had a Dream
It was worthy to hear
meant to change all
not all would cheer

He had a Dream
A message unshaken
in a moment of scheme
a strong voice was taken

He had a Dream
come take my hand
we all can share
in the Promise Land.

Aesthetically speaking, a very good piece of work.

Wonderful poem and tribute, Danny! A dream of peace and brotherhood is truly a noble one!

For he who is honest is noble,
Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~

Danny-

What a powerful tribute to the
quest for peace, liberty and
equal freedom for all.

A dream of great magnitude he had.
How greatly I admire anyone
who has a vision and is willing to
give his very life to stand for what
he believes so deeply in.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

What a great tribute to a man who did so much in only 39 years

It's amazing what can be accomplished by one person who has a dream!!  Well said!

One must first have a dream in order to make a change, and what a dream it was. Thank you for the reminder

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.  This world has too few heros.  Regardless of skin color, I think everyone can admire a person who has a dream that has the purpose of improving the world for all mankind.
