One Shattered Heart ~Marge Tindal~ A heart is surely breaking. Did you hear the pieces fall? Shattering into slivers against the bedroom wall. Fragments of the broken heart strewn across the floor. No time for consoling glances as you walked out the door. You may not choose to look at the damage you have caused, surely you would have heard the sound of this heart breaking if you had paused. Left of this woman, one empty shell. No longer able to survive in this hell. When you broke this heart you broke my spirit too. I cannot make the pieces fit into the person I was for you. Such a misfit, broken puzzle now lays upon the ground. It can't put it back together, for the pieces can't be found. How do you mend a broken heart? Chances are, that you aren't able for it shattered with such a force, only a new love could make it stable. For now one shattered heart lies stately in repose, Waiting for one special man, the man who knows just how to mend this broken heart. *For a friend going through a really bad experience. ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Hi, Marge. I definitely enjoyed this poem. You take the phrase "breaking your heart" and give it literal meaning with the focused, inventive imagery. There were two places where the flow was broken when you tried to cram too many syllables into a line, but that's something easily fixed. Great work! Mike |

Inspirational and well written The feelings are well shown here As always a very nice poem Marge The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |

bsquirrel- Thanks for the read. Glad you enjoyed. SnglDad- Joel, thank you for your concern. A lot of what I write is written with other people in mind. I always say, 'thank God I don't have to live it all to write about it.' And, it 'read' just right. Astraea- Thank you, dear. Elizabeth, my friend- I know your heart and I know you've helped many too. Helmut Becker- Thank you so much for liking the things I write. Means a lot to me. Balladeer- Awwwww ! You say the nicest things. 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' Love ya' ... ~Me~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Beautifully done as always Marge--I'm so glad your heart is intact. The heart that breaks can only mend from inside out before you send it out to make another try make sure your strength is not a lie. In the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed. (ee cummings) |

Nathan- Thank you. I always enjoy reading the 'descriptive' things you write also. Martie- Really enjoyed your little 'missive'. Very true ... but, we never do that, do we? Always looking for Bandaids to put over the cracks aren't we? Hmmmmmm? Inspiration ! ! ! Denise- So very glad you liked it too. I believe that everything someone else goes through eventually could become something we experience. I try to envision what they are going through. Rosemary- I value your opinions on what I write. As I told you before ... you and Dale write the most BEAUTIFUL poetry that I so greatly admire. I feel fortunate to have run into you both through the Passion's pages. Thank you, my friend(s). ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
