The past is done as you have said
But still it plays within your head
To rob you of all rest and peace
To hold you fast with no release
But think on this, He's always there
To take your burden and your care
He saw it all when on that cross
To cleanse us from our filth and dross
Just think on Him, how much He gave
When phantoms once again enslave
Just tell them that you have a friend
Who'll not forsake you in the end
And tell them plainly to get lost
Because for you He paid the cost!

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:7-8

This poem reflects the spirit of the poet, and once more demonstrates the love she has for all. The "Guardian Angel of the Forum", reads all the poetry and feels each heartbeat.
Denise, You are so caring, and your poem is beautiful

Thank you all for reading and for your kind comments! I always appreciate the time you all take to read and comment!

Beautiful picture, Nan! I love it!

Thanks Elizabeth, you are so sweet! I've fallen way behind in reading and commenting the past two days...don't know if I'll ever get caught up now!! I'll give it a try though!

Denise...thank you for this excellent reminder. We can do nothing to change the past, but we can learn from it and go on. If He has forgiven us our past, so should we. Thank you my dear friend, I needed this today

As always a nice poem, sorry I'm late
Forgive
And now I'm in a hurry too

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
