My husband just came to the door
Of our computer "shed",
"Haven't you been here long enough"?
"Are you coming in ?", he said.

"I've only been here for an hour!"
I said "wide opened eyed".
Then saw the clock above my head
And realized I'd lied.

I cannot blame the internet
Or Forums such as this.
Although I feel I must stay here,
For fear of what I'll miss.

The air was thick with his distain.
My guilt was even thicker.
I know now that I'll have to learn
To read and type much quicker.

Oh, my goodness sakes alive!  You should publish this one!  Countless thousands of people just like us would relate to it!  I had a good hearty laugh!     It's WELL written, with such a marvelous ending!  (Boy am I lucky, to have a husband who sits in the same room, typing on his own computer, and if we go half the night, we're communing together in our own way - both happy!)

Tee-Hee ...
I like it ....
Well, just wink at him
and promise to not spend more
than 14 hours a day on it.

So glad you posted this, because Rosemary's comment only verifies that I should get another computer so my hubby cannot complain about "not getting to use it" himself...
