AMERICAN DREAM The American dream gone up in smoke, So we all sit around and take another toke. Working hard at minimum wage, To come home in a state of rage. So we all dream our life away, Let’s save reality for another day. Tell your kids the truth they don’t know why, They feel the truth is a twisted lie. You live and learn, you learn you live, The reality is it will never end. |

Powerful poem, Kitkat. Sad but true for so many. Denise And slight is the sting of his trouble Whose winnings are less than his worth; For he who is honest is noble, Whatever his fortunes or birth.~~~Alice Cary, ~Nobility~ |

Lovely... ~Astraea "Sometimes stars can only be seen in darkness." "Sorrow's crown of sorrow is remembering happier things." |

hi kitkat, this made your poem powerful for me: Tell your kids the truth they don’t know why, They feel the truth is a twisted lie. rus |
