Listening to every heart

Home Chime Home

My very own windblown music comes
not from my lips, but as the wind hums
through wind chimes around my home,
and music flitters right to my poems.

Softening breezes gently eases
twinkerings of delightful melodies,
softening my spirits as I hear it
and delighting me with memories.

When winds howl with winter's scowl
and the chimes clamor, oh just how
the ringing still sounds cheerful,
keeping winter from sounding fearful.

Somehow the music seems to bring
birds in flight and birds on wing
straight to mix in blessed cacophony
as they join with chimes' harmony.

In the night, in my dreams
the chimes join in my angels' scenes
bringing forth harmonious sound
enveloping me all around.

So my home may be noisy to a few
I'd rather think, however, that it's true
my home is more like a musical fort
and with that, I lift my Port.

Sunshine-

You too?  Oh, how I love the sounds
of the windchimes all over my yard.

The gentlest of breezes
sets them singing ...
the echos of their music
constantly ringing.

Fortunately I've not
neighbors around,
to object to the
melodious sound.

The chimes ring
constantly for me,
catching the sounds
so Heavenly.

*Thanks for the gentle tapestry of sound.

I knew there were some other poets out there who must love the sounds of "twinkerings" like I do...thank you Marge, Septsong and Nan, for coming in to read.

Windchimes are a beautiful thing.  No wonder this poem more than matches it.  Lovely.

Hi Sunshine,

So much sound to take in from the chimes in this poem.  What a pleasure to read.

In the night, in my dreams
the chimes join in my angels' scenes
bringing forth harmonious sound
enveloping me all around.

Poetry written with the sound of a chime
calming is the sounds devine
No matter what's the time of day
Let there me musical sounds I say
I also love the sound they make
And if the wind is still...I sneak up and give them a shake
Very nice poem with such lovely ring to it

denise, may all of your days be melodious...

astraea, thank you for coming in to listen...

rus, having a part of one's poem be brought forth indeed creates a "stamp of approval".. thank you...

pepper, thank you...

PdV - waking up with twinkerings is a most lovely thing...

Helmut - when the wind is very still, I too shake them for their sparkling thrill...

Thank you everyone.
