There's a door I want to knock on called Heaven's door
and on my way I'll whisper hello to the brilliant moon
skip from cloud to cloud gaze with wonder at the stars
sinking into bed to dream and pray I sleep till noon

On waking I'll review the world with fresh clear eyes
balancing myself as I revolve on this axis forever more
but if instead I should find I'm actually standing still
I'll sit behind the wheel and find the peace of the shore

I'll lose myself in the swooping seagull's cry
the sound of trackless crashing waves
I'll dip my toes and laugh like a child
until I can melt into the peace I crave

Tread undiluting softness build myself a castle
till my hands are damp and gritty with sand
I'm going to explore the land of my father's time
off to be a Rainbow coming back when I know who I am...

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

A beautiful vision you create here, Rainbow girl.  Lovely work.

Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare,
Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water,
Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha

You know RG, your poems always give me this sense of peace when i read them...well done.

Do we ever know fully who we are, Rainbow? Excellent writing.

Rainbow,
Only you could have written this beautiful poem. This is what I know of you, and I love your spirit.

So much longing for peace... so beautifully written. *S* But you'd better be staying away from those pearly gates for quite a while... we need you here!!!

I echo Suthern, Rainbow....
