The Ageless Beauty

There is a beauty in us all,
That God has put inside,
To share with those around us,
A beauty few can hide.

This aura is with each of us,
And seldom does it fail,
Whether we are young and bold,
Or elderly and frail.

Call it love or soul or spirit,
It's part of each we meet,
It's what treats us to a smile,
From strangers on the street.

His beauty grows within us,
From the time that we are born,
And anyone who looses it,
Becomes lonely and forlorn.

Our Father in His wisdom,
Knew that humans needed love,
Whether we be nine or ninety,
We thrive with Him above.

So when you look upon your neighbour,
Think of His great gift,
Smile at those around you,
And give His heart a lift.

Hi Jo,

What a charming and wise verse.  Can only come from a warm and wonderful person.

This aura is with each of us,
And seldom does it fail,
Whether we are young and bold,
Or elderly and frail.

Jo, what an uplifting piece! A flavorful and poetic rendition of The Golden Rule, to be sure.

Wonderful piece Jo. So very true. Well written. These are the times when I wonder how I could have ever doubted you. You spirit is very loving and accepting. I don't think you know how happy I am that we were able to sort out all the crap that happened a few years ago. Bravo! ((HUG))

I knew when first your name I saw
you would be wisely, leave us in awe
with your wisdom and vast intellect
and in that, age is never circumspect.

From what you write, we would be buddies!  Well done, Jo!

So true, I'm not sure about the God part but I do believe that love is felt and forms little rivers that seep into the lives of others..well, I hope it does..

I love the heart in this..
