Please folks, when you can?

Martie was contacted by the owner of this site, and asked her [I think more than once] that he be allowed to use one of her poems that he had found at Passions in Poetry's Main Site. Scroll down to the site's Afterword to locate Martie's poem...

It goes without saying, that without Ron Carnell's foresight, so many poets would go unnoticed in this world.  He has brought, over time, some 8,000 of us together, at any given moment, where we share our love of the written word, we indulge in our vanity for a short while, we find others whom we wish we could emulate...

and we find a certain kinship in a new way of understanding, of fellowship, of hope.  Then, when we all get down to the basics...

we write.

When those of us do something so well, but think we are only sharing it with friends, we later learn we have shared it with the world.  Martie was also contacted by Birth Works International, that they might use this very poem in their newsletter.  Martie heard back from them, and she will be receiving a few copies of the newsletter [I hope she shares it!]  Isn't it something...that her name travels the world over?

I think so.

I believe you will, too.

A case of "last but not least," if there ever was one! It's good to see the recognition come, but the real lift is from knowing that poem will do so many people so much good.

Martie, I am such a fan of your writing and your beautiful flower spirit! You are as sweet and fresh as a daisy on a spring day!

The more exposure your poetry gets ~ the more beauty is spread out into the world.

Karilea, you are such a sweetheart for bringing this to our attention. Modest Marti would have kept this wonderful news to herself!
