Do you think Arnold has a chance to be the Governor of California?

What about Ms. Huffington?

What about Larry Flynt?

What about Gary Coleman?

Vote for me if you want to live.

My hat's in Ms. Huffington's corner, unless she does something incredibly stupid. Then I, like the rest of California, will jump ship on this whole mess.

One of the runners "drops out" because "it's become a circus".  It was a circus before, it will continue to be a circus.  California, my home state, has lost so much respect.

I believe Mr. Schwarzenegger has as much chance as any of them.  After all...he did say he was going to use his "own money".  Have you seen anyone else go THAT far?

CA, and a few other states, could use a little more housecleaning - and politicians keeping their hands in their OWN pockets - not in ours.

What I think is wonderful - is that he, like our ancestors, immigrated here, became a citizen - HERE - and rose to meet the old "American Dream".  I'm not jealous - I'm proud that the dream still WORKS!

well if he doesn't make it... he will probably say "I'll be back!"

but hey... why not?

but hey... why?

well, I guess I am glad I don't have to make a choice... but that could make great headlines

like
Conan the Barbarian becomes civilized and takes office as a Governor
or
The terminator has terminated his opponents to become Governor
or
Commando becomes Governor

but then why not Larry Flynt?

ok people, one of the main reasons for me leaving California was the stupid retarded Gov. Davis!! That man is a complete moron....and that is me being very very nice...I think Arnold will do a great job, he has been posturing for this for a long time now...just because he is an actor, doesn't mean he can't hold his own in a political office. Seriously, Davis really screwed up Cali. Do some reading....I think he isn't just extremely stupid, I think he's dangerous.

Hey, with Ahnold and Jesse "The Body" Ventura in governor's mansions, we're that much closer to realizing the dream of having everyone from the cast of "Predator" in politics!

I'd so vote for the psycho-knife guy who cuts himself before heading off to his doom.

Reasons to appreciate Mr. Schwarzenegger for public office:

1.  Has an economics degree
2.  I'm going to HAVE to listen carefully...
3.  Doesn't seem to have anything in his past that may ultimately trip him up
4.  Found his American Dream - and seems intent on making sure others can grasp it as well.
5.  His name isn't Gray Davis.

Cspan clip on the debate for California

Arnold: I am running against a pown stah and a has been celebrity midget I think dat de choice is obvious

Gary Coleman: Whatchu talking about has been, until terminator 3 you dropped more bombs than the coalition

Marey Carey: See why I'm running? All this fighting! My platform is the return of free love!

Gary Coleman: Lady I doubt anything with you is free. Is that how youre gonna finance your run with a do unto me what the governments been doing to you for years party?

Arnold: Ha! Der little man is right I think we know whier her money will come from but I have to ask whier his will? he's living out of the back of a Honda. besides think of the cost of electing him..der platform shoes and stilts to see over podiums will run into der millions

Gary: Oh thats it you going down (bites Arnold's ankles)

Arnold: Arrrrwrghhhhhh! Astalavista..Gary (kicks him into the crowd)

As the camera fades and the music closing the debate plays Carey intinctively begins to strip

Well see?  No one told me Aenimal and Bri were running...so I'll just mosey back to CA to gain residence and then run over to Chicago so I can cast more than one vote [absentia] because heck!  I can't vote for one without voting for other, if nothing more than for each other to keep the other in check!

I think it's all hysterical!! For a little bit of money and some signatures YOU too could be on the California roster of Gubernatorial candidates. One guy said it's a legacy for his kids..that he actually ran for governor one year...not a bad way to look at it. He'll flip if he wins! LOL

Ah -- just remember Sunshine -- the motto in Chicago is vote early, vote often!

Last poll I saw showed Ahnold in the lead by about 10 points with 26% of the vote if it was held today.

I'd vote for him, if for no other reason than the conservative radio talkites don't like him....

I'll be back.

We have been discussing this in Canada about Arnold and I personally think he has a good chance.  He has supported and played in the political arena for a long time. If you remove the fact that he is "Terminator", what you have is a very smart business man, who came to American and made it.  He did what he set out to do, married well, and through Maria, has had political connections he may not otherwise have had.  If I could vote I think I would give him a shot, but then I am always a sucker for a great family man.

Davis needs 51% of the vote to win. If he doesn't get it, the next person in the percentages does. So since there are a million people running (give or take 900,000) Arnold could win by getting 25% of the vote!
