Since this is the place where we just kind of chat, I thought I'd tell everyone a little bit about myself. (I know, oh God, how boring can you get). Well not much more than I am at the moment. So here's a short bio. I am 46 years old, yes really. I am married, and have been for 13 years now. My marriage has not been the greatest in the world, it's had it's ups and downs and continues to be that way. My husband is a truck driver, OTR, and is only home for 3 days every month. Blah!! Sometimes that 3 days seems like 300. I have 3 children. None of whom are with me now. My son, the oldest, 24, lives here in SC near me so I get to see him and my grandson often, which is great. My daughter Nicole was born at a time in my life when things were really bad, she was 14 this past Oct. and I put her up for adoption. I will not make any apologies for this. I did what was best for her. My daughter, my angel, Ashley Rose, is 11 and lives in SC also. She is in a private boarding school, and I see her once a month. What a mess huh? So I'm living with Mom at the moment. Getting life back on track hopefully. I have a car again, finally, so I am not stuck in the house as much as I was. I am planning on finding work soon and start to do something constructive with my time. This is an odd time of life. Menopause sucks, having arthritis in most joints sucks, and trying to stay at an optimum weight, (what is that anyway) sucks! I found pip purely by accident by doing a search for poetry forums, and was pleased to find that there were several people here that I already knew. I like this place. I feel sometimes I don't contribute enough in the way of feedback to others, and for that I apologize. I'm trying to find the time to respond in kind, and sometimes it's just impossible. But I would like you all to know, that this place is a wonderful refuge for me, and I appreciate the warmth that is afforded me each time I am here. Well that's it. Long, boring and incredible ordinary. Darn!! [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (11-01-2002 11:29 AM).] |

Howdy WhiteRose. Well, no matter what else gets thrown your way, at least no one can say that you never lived. ![]() Just know that you are welcome here, and feel free to stop by whenever you need that refuge. Alicat Alley/Lounge Moderator ![]() |

Here we go again...my husband is not particularly amused my ME either. Y'think if we traded they would notice? ![]() I think mine could be moved without him noticing as long as you did not remove the beer or the remote control from his hands. Oh what the heck...just take the whole chair! |

That's just so scarey. There is no way there is another one out there like my husband. Oh the thought is, well, it's just scarey I tell ya. ![]() Is this just a cajun thing? I tell ya what, I'm a New Yorker and this little cajun I'm married to really, really frustrates me at times. But what really sucks, is I just can't live without him now. Had to be the southern charm underneath all that cajun quirkiness. (is that a word?) He hooked me with it. ![]() Oh and Hi Cherish ![]() [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (11-04-2002 12:46 AM).] |

(serenity types wryly...) I understand that cajun spice can be very addictive... Truth be told...I think it has much to do with hobbits fondness of holes. They DO use them for doors, yanno... ![]() |

This is true. It's the other little fondnesses that are a tad bizarre, in a nice way though ![]() It isn't often, but for some reason tonight, I miss him, kind of, sorta. ![]() hmmmmm..not really true, I miss him all the time ![]() |
