I would honestly love to tell you but it would take many, many years to actually find something likeable staring back at me, Serenity.

Sorry.

Do my clothes count? My black glam muppet turtle-neck is the prettiest thing in the mirror!

Hmm... But if I hafta choose somethin' that's actually me, I'd say my eyes or hair.

Lori? no...clothes can't count.

(sorry, me a clotheshound too...)

so, now? since I have only ONE SERIOUS participant, I do need to have an answer--

tapping toe..and? I feel I must tell you, that you are allowed to call ONE person if you feel you need help with this answer. (forgive me folks, I've actually never seen this show!)

So...tick tick tick...tell me..."what is your answer? EYES...OR...HAIR?

Oh, well....if it's only physical [I guess I was looking at the metaphysical] then let's see, eyes, hair, teeth, nose, ears...[do I have to go past the neck?]...[I DO?]  [sheesh]...

I've come to terms with the physical parts of me...

when you get to part II, call me!  ROTF....

Can I talk about things I hate? I feel arrogant. lol

Well.. first and foremost..I love my eyes. You know the whole "eyes are the window to the soul" thing? Well, for me it's definately true. Everything is evident there. I also like how they drift between light and dark (that would be the green/dark brown). As for the rest of my face... I have full lips and high cheek bones. (My Native American/Portugese blood really shows up in my face & hair. I'm also Irish, but no red hair. )

My body... hmm.. I'm one of those curvey girls. That's a plus.

My thighs are my favorite I think because they're soft and warm.   I don't if I'm allowed to say that here. lol But I think they're the most feminine thing.. it's nice to be reminded.

This might sound weird but my wrists and my feet.. because I can see my veins and my bones most clearly in those areas. I think it's pretty.

I AM going to say something I hate.. (I'm a rebel.. heh) ... how easilly my nails always break. They grow quickly and long, which is nice but so soon they chip and break.

oh MIKEY--GROAN...and Part II of this is to simply take the things you LIKE about yourself and learn to LOVE them...a slight shift of consciousness, that hopefully moves self-perception one step closer to self-acceptance. In logical sequence, then the things you HATE should become a simple dislike--just my little way of saying, "Give yourselves a break!"

I happen to think you are all beautiful!

What if the mirror's not clean, Mikhail?

C'mon, y've gotta love yr random bits of natural red hair, even if you don't like anything else. So there.

Hmm, an' with me.... I choose eyes over hair. My hair only changes colour when I dye it, but my eyes change colour all on their lonesome. Yay, my eyes!

Plus, in their normal state (green with yellow rings), I have the exact inverse of my kittens' eyes (which are, of course, yellow with green rings). Now how cool is that?

Oh, and about the part II thing, missy... Ain't that pushing it a bit for a lot of people?

I can love my eyes, but that's 'cause everyone I know, from co-workers to lovers, have told me how awesome they are. If the world agrees, I may as well.

Although I'm sure we could get Mike to love something about himself if we torture him long enough.

well...I don't think so...I'm simply suggesting that we give ourselves the same consideration we would give others--I know that I tend to be harder on ME than I am on others--and it's something I have been thinking about this week. Isn't kind of arrogant of me to expect perfection out of myself? Granted, I am not suggesting a narcissism here--if there's is something about yourself that you don't like, ask yourself if it is something you can change--if it is, then change it. If not, vive' la difference! and then? "let's just get on with it..." yanno?

and? the things I think are beautiful about you all go beyond the physical...all of you share quick wit, intelligence and compassion--and a wonderful sense of humor! and Kamla? I LOVE MY HAIR TOO...it's thick and it will do anything I ask it to do, even in this godawful humidity! and yes, there are streaks of gray? which I used to hate--now I like to think of it as a bit of tinsel...and yep...SURE. When my hormone levels drop again in two weeks, I won't believe a word of this, but at least I KNOW it's the hormones! and damn, but I'm in a good mood...smiling. School starts tomorrow, and I can get back on a writing schedule again! and pick up my dusty guitar too (the kids cringe when I do that now)and YAY YAY YAY...TIME OUT FOR KAREN!!!!

*Giggles* My favorite thing is the kitten in Anvrill's mirror! Yay for kitties!

I'd have to say, if I must choose, then... my eyes. Always blue, but never the same shade.

See - even when i don't do anything "bad" (and admittedly, that's not often) i get blamed for something.

Okay, okay. Seriously this time.

I like my voice. Someone has said in the past that it's like sand.

But you can't really see a voice in the mirror, can you?

I like my height, except it's really hard to find clothes that fit. And yesterday, while at Robinson's-May with my roommate as she went shopping, I was sorta jealous at how easily she was able to buy four pairs of shoes, while I'm stuck with the same crappy size 17 sneakers pretty much forever, unless I want to pay $600. Grrr! I need to find a shoe store somewhere in L.A. that carries men's shoes that are actually stylish and casual and cost effective and LARGE!

Rant off.

This is hard, it was so much easier 10 years ago.
I guess my eyes haven't totally failed me yet. Still big and brown, and no real wrinkles yet(there) Course I can't see so well anymore

PS I like the tinsel theory on the grey hair. Can I keep that one??

My voice always changes.. not like Robin Williams or something lol... but it changes

Have you ever been called something that was either so original or sincere that you remember it even years later? That's happened to me twice..

Someone called me venomous.. I just thought that was beautiful.

Someone called my body addictive last night     ... and that was different than the usual "wow, you're hot" lol

I don't know why I just thought of all that.. I guess because I saw that Mike said that someone said his voice sounds like sand.

Does that kind of stuff happen to you guys?

I prefer not to get wrapped up in vanity though.. soon I'll be very old and none of it will matter anyway. So I prefer building my character.

Closest I've gotten is being called "The Dark Lady". This phenomenon has spread through two generations of my social group (most high school people would udnerstand that a year apart in schooling is a year apart in group generation. I had nooooo friends my age. And there've been three seperate generations in the group, with only three original members remaining. Um, oops?). People who had never even met each other all calling me The Dark Lady.

Must admit, I think it's kinda cool.

i'll be waiting for you

Is that with clothes on or off? Because it is important to clear that up.
With clothes on it is my smile
With clothes off…… well…….. it’s still my smile.

If this was adult I would print my real answer. Let's just say, they don't call me the metre man for nothing.
