Life-Glass Of a life-glass on existance all old tears pass to a new trance distilling thro this sense, that dream long to pursue the perfect stream. Thirst divines draught courting the taste as much as thought is loth to waste. Yet oft a haste fearing shortness makes length disgraced coming excess. The glass is crowned may lips imprint the shape around to merriment and quaff nectar pacing and fare to find savour not snail, not hare But artist couth making his art to give more tooth to truth each part. Enjoyable! At first I couldn't wrap my head around the meaning and for some reason I just couldn't get into it (It has been a long day )So I read it agian. But anyways these were my fav. lines : "The glass is crowned may lips imprint the shape around" I am not to sure why I liked them as much as I did But they made me laugh, not because they were funny just because, anyway like I said it has been a long day. Ok i'm done rambling I liked it! -ash I wear my crown of thorns on my liar's chair full of broken thoughts I cannot repair [This message has been edited by Match (08-10-2003 08:31 PM).] |
