Good night, my good knight, Who has tended the gardens. I am the rose You are leaving behind. Fare thee well, my sunshine. Your departure I do not resent. Though no doubt I will perish, If your rays I'm denied. Good night, my good knight, May your journey be fair. The morrow may find you In some other bed. I bid you well, my protector, And fresh flowers aplenty, But leave me naught forgotten, Inside of thy head. Good night, my good knight, You may never return, Lest you find your abandoned beloved Desolate and forlorn. For upon your return, Endless winter will greet. Bereft of all beauty, I'll be naught more than thorns |

i like it! good. very old english. :-) looks like you've been reading I'd try to keep the syllable count a bit more consistant, though you did a pretty good job. |
