Should I compare her to a rose
that in some stately garden grows
Pruned and tended, watered fine
Magnificent upon her vine

While deep within a jungle green
where camouflage and speed are king
death is quick and strikes unseen
there is no time for loving

Tenacious there a single bloom
fights the foetid humid gloom
to bring bright colours seldom seen
into this world of brown and green

No gardeners eyes have ever laid
upon the beauty there portrayed
No loving hands to keep it safe
Yet still it blooms another day
