The proletariat never triumphed, they simply got trumped. In the struggle of US against them, US got screwed, Them? They've friends in high places. Sorry Karl, you got no marks for your vision of future divisions; instead we've got Weberian complexities of first, second, and third world hypocrisies; wooed and pillaged by hegemonic aspirations financed by Multi-National Corporations. Go figure. Its the trickle dung effect, from the leaky faucet of pilfered John Smith concepts; where the haves have more and only nuts have-not/ so much for social engineering in hopes of massive revolution. The plot is thick and always hot; the bottom must needs remain the bottom so the top always remains the top; There will be no massive flip flop- only token escapees who become unwitting emissaries paid pittances to recruit mercaneries. Oh, they'll look good, sound good, and reek of that sweet smell of 'success' but I and I must confess they're called the middle class for a reason- they're the wedge created to keep the bottom and the top apart for all seasons. Heh heh. I'm about to post a poem that discusses this, too, called 'A Kind Of Error.' I enjoyed your 'body' similie...not exactly original, but effective. Quite a wry write. Power to The Hoi Polloi! |

hi: You don't post often. I don't like policical poems. I find nothing poetic in your current addministation. with that said I like the last two stanza the best. I notice that you did not get into the fact that the middle keeps getting bigger. but maybe thats another poem. Rick |

kif kif - Glad you found this enjoyable. Frank - What's striking? Skippyrick- Sorry you don't like political poems - a body can have loads of fun with them. I'm delighted that you found something in the poem to like. Thank you all for posting. |
