He's one of four kids,
the oldest of mine,
of course with a special place
in this heart of mine.

At the age of five
they told me the news
he has Aspergers Syndrom
I looked at them confussed
its a form of Autism
thats what they said
it got lost in my head.

Now eleven years later
I've learned alot
that everything is the mater
a problem hes not.

The issue is now
keeping him straight
the only thing is how
I'll do it at any rate.

For he's my oldest
my heart has a special place
for my special son
just like each and everyone
of his brothers and sister
This is for my kids they are all the light in the fog that clouds my mind and makes me worry they just say I love ya mom and the shineing light always shines on. They are always there my special four when I hear of the sadness in the world or have a bad day they are always there.

I am not going to critique your words but wanted to tell you that Mistletoe Angel on here has shared with us that he has the same syndrom so maybe he would be of help in knowing and understanding how he felt growing up....

I can't critque your work either, but had to tell you how special you must be to have been gifted a very special child. Noah, Mistletoe Angel, is our pride and joy around here, and has accomplished more than most young men his age, with is own radio show, and being an accomplished musician, songwriter, and poet. Noah has always time to spend talking with children and I am sure will look forward to hearing from you. Here's wishing you a very happy holiday season, and I loved your poem for your son, he is indeed a special young man.

Thank you so much Mysteria for that wonderful note I wish I could meet Mistletoe Angel so he and my son could talk. Also I could ask some questions re; Autism and Aspergers Syndrom. If you want to give him my email its [email protected].
