sort of an antique, journal-entry style of poem. Is my second poem, only (hence it's journal-entry flavor). Oct 20, '04. I was thinking about Franklin-esque times, language, mores and -myself- and my humble/fool own philosophy. Frank critique is wanted. "self" is the better word than "ego" or "id", yes? ======== -My Self- Wears breeches of antique persuasion; Holes worn in by public abrasion. The holes lend humility; For the Publick? amusement! But the holes, too, are holy; More Christly: containment. A mole on my nose? Also reminder: Imperfection preceeds always Christ's gift: Pride re-winder The shedding of Dignity, The absence of Pride, Leaves humbled, breached me The stronger inside. |

Perhaps the insight you are seeking can be better understand by someone who has given the matter thought by the rain that falls on all of our heads. After many years of debating my own insight, I found someone who had a clearer since of what wisdom is other than my own mere thoughts on the matter. Here’s a link for you to contemplate a clearer sense of spirical being I thought may be of interest to you. http://www.molloy.edu/academic/philosophy/sophia/plato/republic/rep7a_txt.htm |
