Wavelander

Overgo aloft the highness' sheets
majestic steppers, sea's soft streets.
Watergallopers, moody mares
with windy manes and comely airs.
Seasteeds' steerer resounds above
Commandings gives and coursers shove.
Foamy's avenue, stirrings' bed
Wavelanders the highbosoms tread.
No storm wins war, that comes to dare
No weather with gripkeeper's care.
From deep below temptation's eyes
Never nethers the hero's rise.
Not the sheening, not the goldennet
Wily-webbed to make man forget.
Not may worth's lord and word's ever
Either word or worth off sever.
Tempest-tamer,  kingling of flood
On keenest horse, on bluest blood.

The Waveland is the Sea.
Wavelander is a Heroic Mariner that is more than just a normal man.
But if the horses are welkins, winds, waves or boats is supposed to be in suspense for the reader.  May the reader, I hope, find it lithe enough that all of those are held in the reference to horses.
Thanks for stopping by to read.

Hi Essorant,

Boat loads (sorry for the pun) of fun words here, best read aloud. Being a woman of the sea, I found this to be quite magical.

By the way of suggestions, there are many possessives here, the ones that are juxtaposed with "s" sounds might trip up the lips a bit

(sea's soft streets, Seasteeds' steerer)

Fave lines:

From deep below temptation's eyes
Never nethers the hero's rise.
Not the sheening, not the goldennet
Wily-webbed to make man forget.
