/note, hi people. It's a deeply postmodern piece with a little irony in there, i'm curious to see whether people can glean the main meaning. All critical comments welcome. /note Sonnet of Self The paths embossed on such fragile minds Invisible rivers of unlearned knowledge Innocence, the mass potential storage Unchallenged truths and lies, gift free-will pre-defined Clawing deep for ghosts and possessed to find Innocent demons whose past we do stage The things that scarred the empty page The unquestioned vision of static futures, blind Purge thy thoughts with taken will Fires of self burn true Thy soul, thy heart yet weakened still Clean deeper yet you do New flames have melted ancient chill You are no longer 'you' [This message has been edited by xaos (01-05-2004 08:04 AM).] |

Bzzzz - oh goodie, I rang in first. If I answer correctly, I get the BIg Prize. Sounds like some post adolescent awakening to the fact that the karma driven space/time he/she found him/herself in is not inevitable but thru sincere endeavor better karma may be generated. Kind of another manifestation of the Angry-Young-Man genre of literature |
