To feel the ocean on my face, the salt stinging in my eyes, the cold splash as the breakers crash the gulls I hear their cries. The sand sliding between my feet, the scurrying of creatures unseen the whirling aura of wind and sky are to me a great and wonderful thing! The ocean is where I want to be, i'll never tire of the sea. I feel God's presence as I close my eyes and wish forever here I could be. God bless you all. :-) -debbie- |

At the ocean is one of my favorite places to be when I'm looking for serenity and a place to think. I love the feel of the sand on my bare feet. This is a delightful poem. ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

This is a lovely poem...it makes me wanna be by the sea, kinda hard when you're landlocked!! Your poem made me feel as though I was there...I could almost feel the sand under my feet and the wind on my face and I could hear the waves breaking on the beach...*sigh*...totally dreamy!! achicade.. this is a magical poem.. I love the seaside.. so i am often very critical of works describing the sea.. because I hate to see ppl destroy the beautiful image.. but I can't help but love this poem. ^_^ Lynne |

Wonderful imagery, Achicade ..... I live on the intercoastal, with the ocean as my neighbor ... you've captured the feeling, so beautifully ... "This is where you will win the battle .... in the playhouse of your mind." Maxwell Maltz |

You make me miss the experience of the ocean so much. Okay. Lake Superior. It's so huge it seems like the ocean. Really peaceful times spent there, feeling God's presence too. Can you believe I've never seen the ocean though? But I think I get the same feelings from the lake Thanks for writing this. I really enjoyed it. Joy |

The ocean sings my name as I try to reach it, so often failing, but when I do I'm in heaven for the time being. Beautiful poem, wish I could be there now, one day I wish to live there to be one with that form of nature everyday. |

Sounds like we have a lot of ocean lovers out there! But don't we poets always have to have a place to sit and dream??? thanks, ya'll! ) |
