Would you like to play a game with me? I'll give you my heart, but I'll keep the key. No more chances this girl's taking, Her heart is too fragile to deal with such breaking. The boys are the ones that like to play, "You would if you loved me", they tend to say. Poor little girl, confused and alone, Looking for love that she never has known. She gives in to the boy, and he steals her heart. Meanwhile she's thinking, they never will part. Poor little girl, losing the game. For she doesn't know the rules aren't the same. The boy walks away, the girl starts to cry. But her head she knows, she must hold high. Never again will she let a boy win, With love and trust ONLY, they will be let in. Would you like to play a game with me? I'll give you my heart, but I've lost the key. "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." -the words of a friend |

Nah, you just hid the keys. Wait for the right person.....he'll give you three keys. Love, trust and honesty. Once they are offered you may accept. |

i know many friends who locked off their hearts completely after some idiot guy hurt 'em...at least the character in this one learned to use trust and love to let them in....good poem rich-pa "freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose..." -janis joplin |

Hey.. that's what I said too. But there are guys out there that will take the time to either give you the keys to their hearts or help you find the key to yours. Keep looking. Love the poem, btw. Great poem, I'm one of the guys that offers my own key first, so I've experianced that from the other side of the line. But one day you'll find that speacial person who will hhold the key to your heart with pride, and cherish it till the day he dies. May the light of day always shine during the darkest of nights. |

Skittles this is very good. As Munda said, someone will come along with the right key(s). ...Give me the strength to walk the soft earth, a relative to all that is.... Black Eagle Oglala Sioux holy man |

I like this very much. The style with two lines is wonderful, as Lynne noted. I hope you find the key. God bless you all. :-) -debbie- |

Thank you all. I'm still looking for the key, but with a stronger self-defense it's getting easier. Oh yeah, about the 2-line style. I don't know if there's a name for it, I was just feeling this sort of rhythm when writing it. Thanks again, especially for the support. sKiTtLeS~ |

Skittles, Hi ! Good Rhythm, and I can relate but, remember your Prince awaits, sometimes you have to go on about life and let your Prince find you hold onto your keys as long as you can before you share. Poetry & Frienship, PrincessPoet |

sKiTtLeS, Hey this Is so true, and I have experienced what you point out here, But I have learned to keep both my heart, and my key, until somone comes along with a key that matches mine. Then And then only Will I allow that person to try to unlock my heart, and if there key works, and gets them inside the first door, I will give them my key, so they can have full access to all the rooms inside my heart.. take care now, and I hope you find the person, that, as someone already said, will treasure it, and guard it with his life. Smile ! -Chico [This message has been edited by Chico (edited 04-16-2000).] |

I know that someday, the key will be regained, and nothing is ever lost forever! My favorite saying was once, guys aren't worth it! Alicia A. Renzelman |
