I once had a friend who wouldn't listen Told me to go tell someone else Didn't care about my problems In fact, just blocked them out! Whenever I started talking Got up and walked away That friend was finaly replaced With another Always listened to me My problems were not blocked out That friend was me! I changed, you see That's why I can now really hear what I am saying! This poem is about how a person can think he/she listens, but until he/she can go into themselves and listen to their innermost problems, can they deal with others! JOY |

I agree! We first have to love and respect ourselves before we can love and respect anyone else! Wonderful poem, Joy! Denise |

Yep, it's true. You have to love and accept yourself before you can love and accept others. Nice poem Joy ! |

Ah, the secret of life. Some people call this mid-life crisis. |

How true!! MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU, MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND Irish Blessing |
