I never knew I could miss someone so much in such a short time Wishing I was beside you, best friend of mine Part of me is happy, knowing this is where I belong But another part of my heart is breaking, knowing this is wrong I should be there, not here As I feel it drop, another lonely tear But through the tears I smile thinking of the time we just had And I am able to laugh for a bit and not feel so sad Packed up with my clothes I took along the memories of you and I But don't worry they rest in your heart too, so please dont cry I am blessed I have you as my best friend, now I know this to be true Forever and always I want to spend my days with you This feeling is a bit strange for me I hope you understand It isnt like me to feel this way, my feelings always at my command But tonight here I sit thoughts of you going through my brain And now that we've met, I will never be the same I walk outside and I look up at the sky and see a shooting star And make a wish that you didn't live so far If you begin to miss me, like I have been missing you Do this one thing for me, this is what I want you to do Close your eyes and think of me, and in your heart I will be And that will get us through the days to come, till you can again be with me. ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

~Jan Thanks for your kind words. As always you make me laugh and smile! Thank you!! I haven't been posting last few days. I apologize..I have been kinda sad and not myself as of late. As you can tell in this poem, I am missing my best friend A LOT! Wish she wasn't a thousand miles away, but 'tis life. So for at least a little while I won't be posting a whole lot of my "sunshine" poetry. But don't worry in time..I'll be okay. Amy---I can certainly understand the feelings of which you speak. Just recently my best friend and I had to endure a few day break from each other; the pain was unbearable. My heart goes out to you. This is beautiful...I haven't seen my best friend in months cos she lives way away...we met at boarding school. I miss her the way you describe here. Hey Aimster, I know it is hard to want somone to be there with you, but they can't. But just think, that will make the time you do get to spend with them all the more precious. cause So many times we have our best friend right there with us, and we take advantage of them, or just don't notice them as much. So there is a good side to it, Although it mught not be to bright to look at, and besides all that, you have us as friends here at passions. I can also relate, I have a friend I moved away from and miss very much, but I've been blest with a friend here at passions that reminds me so much of her that it mends the stitching for now. Loved your poem beautiful job. |
