Last night the wind blew loud and strong. It sang to me a feral song Of crashing waves and tossing trees, Of broken limbs and tattered leaves And in the morning light I found, So many branches on the ground. I spent some hours cleaning up, Then went inside to fetch a cup Of scalding coffee I could take To walk beside the restless lake. The waters, roiled from last night's gale, Had spewed debris that told the tale, Upon the banks and drifted wood Now marred the beach on which I stood. The power of the wind is great. I certainly appreciate A calmer day and skies of blue Now that the wind has passed on through! Betty Lou Hebert |

This is a good description of the fury of the wind. We are hearing that there is to be lots of rain and strong winds tomorrow. I have to go to a graveside service. Not looking forward to it. Joyce |

Trillium, I loved the way you described your experience with the fury of wind. It seems to have told you it's story personally. Thanks for sharing. "rainbow" |
