No, all of my poems are not about the gulf of mexico. I've been working on making a connection between tears and the salt water. they taste the same don't they? crying The sea doesn’t make apologies She's cooking dinner now staring out past the boats coming in Past the sun melting in the gulf With the fury of a god who Likes to think that if he only makes her laugh Every once in a while She will continue to hide what Ever it is that she sets free At night The piers come alive with the sloshing Buckets pouring soapy salt water Men telling stories rough like their skin Their eyes betrayed by darkness Missing how she moves In her yellow dress Setting herself sailing Wading out far enough to let the wind Catch her hand Her eyes touching the dark Pebbles meeting sea And the water comes from all around From inside |

quote: Did you know that the ratio of water to salt in the human body is exactly the same as the ocean's? Also, the ocean is made up of 3% salt--exactly the same as the human body. Think there's a connection? ~Gene [This message has been edited by u_gene (edited 03-06-2000).] |

Oh I know there is. I just get obsessed with trying to make connections between things and then try to turn melt them together as one thing. It's a bad habit. Can make a person loony. |
