I remember that summer when you looked into my eyes The fog had cleared I saw the future sparkling The birds were moving slowly and quietly across the sky There was no wrong the day was slowly darkening You took my hand and traced my name upon your beating heart I was overtaken with your stylish beauty Your gentleness held me then and caressed my lonely soul Your holy place of love you gave it to me I loved you then I love you now with all of my life I love you with a fire eating passion I loved you then I love you now with all of my life But my love no sculptor could fashion And now the Honeysuckle's still blooming in your soul Your fragrance still makes me feel dizzy I have picked the flowers from your love and held them in my mind Your bouquet still means everything to me And when winter comes I'll still be there kneeling at your feet No drifting snow could ever keep me from you Your lovliness surrounds you and bathes me in its light Like a pilgrim I thank heaven I found you Jon Mewett 2000 |
