A new friend here at the Pub requested that I post this piece. It will be my last for a while..I need a break. Thanks to all who have given me their kind encouragement.

The voices softly call me
in the night when you’re asleep
places that I’ve never seen
people that I need to meet

I tried to fight it really
told myself a million times
this one is really special
a jewel one rarely finds

but wanderlust it pulls me
to that big old road so fine
adventure stirs in me a longing
for that twisting long white line

my time here’s nearly over
I’ll be climbing that next hill
you are more that I deserve
but the road just saps my will

think of me at sunset
on a red and distant peak
think not of me too badly
for the unknown that I seek

goodbye sweet sleeping beauty
I’ll not wake you with a kiss
know that I really loved you
but my destiny is this

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

You know I think this is good, and I had lot of fun trying to imagine the response. Thanks for sharing this. You will be missed.

May God go with you...your beautiful poetry will be missed.

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Yes, Pegasus, you will be missed. I haven't known you long, but I enjoy reading your poetry. I also understand the need to get away, more than one realizes. I wish you God speed and that you will come back refreshed and ready to share with us again.
God Bless........ twilah

If there were ever a way to say goodbye that piece surely does the trick. A soul stirring work of art...may your adventures take you where you want to go and lead you beyond even there. Great writing!

Pegasus - I shall miss you - and will watch for your return...
What a moving, melodic poem...so sad, but a dream must be followed.
May you climb your next hill with faith and find your destiny...

I'll join in with everybody else you will be missed. But this last one sounded sad, but beautiful.

Don't ever give in, if you do you've lost everything you've ever had and everything you hope to gain, but if you carry on your already winning.

Hmm...interesting piece Pegasus. Kind of reminds me of one of my favorite songs...'Wherever I May Roam' by Metallica. I hope you find happiness in your time off...and no worries...we'll keep your booth reserved in the pub until your grand return!

Pegasus, Wow! I really don't know what else to say. I'm glad I had the time and puter access to pop into day so I had the chance to read this. Thankyou. BWA.

Your time is here. Take one last look at it, then never come back. This part of your life is already over...
