Lullaby

I know a little love song
my Mama used to sing.
She would sing it for the babies
and rock them off to sleep.

Just a little lullaby
with story meant to grow.
A baby born in Bethlehem
many years ago.

A simple little love song
into us all she poured.
Her voice so full of love
in worship to our Lord.

Song about a special boy
who puzzled those around.
A song about a young man
leaving His hometown.

Simple song of beauty
about the loving Lamb.
She always had a tear then
for the broken man.

She cried as she smiled
she loved the stories end.
How the living Son of Man
returns to us again.

I‘ll always see my Mama
as she sang her song.
How I long to hear her
since she has been gone.

I sing a little lullaby
my Mama sang to me.
Her tears are in my eyes
as I sing to my baby.

Oh Lord I know a love song
my Mama used to sing.
Now planted in a new heart
my son drifts off to sleep.

bleeding...

"Tis ink coming
from his arm,
Captain!"

I like the sweetness and tenderness of this.  Thanks for sharing.

This is so lovely..thank you for letting us see what a tender heart you have. Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Daniel~
I love the softness in this piece.
Precious memories waft to mind -
hoping that my own children always remember the lullabies.

a million thanks to y'all!
really appreciate the imput!
Been in the studio working on this
and it is going to be very nice.
Recording it with just a heartbeat drum
tract and alittle soothing srings and
an almost whispered vocal tract...
difficult to record cause it keeps putting
us all to sleep...lol
thanks again
love ya!
