Please forgive me, Broken_Winged_Angel, but I have agonized over your piece "January,7,2000" since it was posted. I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. What pain you must feel, yes. But, what of his pain? Unimaginable, devistating, final..I tried to put myself in his place. Tried to feel what he may have felt. I hope I have done justice to his ordeal.

Devoid of choice
stripped to the bone
dignity a forgotton memory
from a past life

dull days
become anxious nights
labored breathing
till the dawn

the new day
a sibling of yesterday
congenitally deformed
a searing reminder

defiantly naked
oppressive, relentless
icy fingers clutch
wounded spirit

nowhere to run
nowhere to hide
exposed
to a redundant nightmare

resigned to conform
to despicable routine
a dyslexic melody
of disharmonic chords

endless
a pentagram of destruction
faithless
in a faithless world

must escape
to a better place
anywhere
but here

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

Pegasus, I have never been suicidal, but have been depressed, and have even had passive death wishes. I think you have captured the feeling very well.  Excellent, empathetic writing!

Oh, you have caught the feeling of dispair and hopefulness very well. Almost to painful to read, as it sucks one down into lost emotions of thinking that there is no way out.

It's hard to imagine what an individual is feeling in that situation.  You have described the obvious torment that one must have, trapped inside an existence, unable to find peace in life.
This is a difficult subject to write about, but you did just that, and very well!
