panting heavily,
pretending vainly to be okay,
procrastinating the vicious runs up the slope,
pain engulfs my body, yearning me to be dead

i love running
like the rest of you
i just dont see the need
to put yourself
through such needless torture
to do something you like

yet i silently comply,
not sure whether the fault lies with me
(Am i being "attitude"?)

I feel your pain kaile, really I do!  Don't look forward to getting up in the morning and running, but, I guess the satisfaction is knowing I persevered!     I still curse in my head while I'm doing it though; don't think that will ever change!

LOL, no you're no wimp, I agree with you completely. Where I live people are obsessed with running. They'll even go jogging in a snow storm.

Well, Kaile, you've pretty much explained why I've never liked running.  I hate pain!  There doesn't seem to be anything at all wrong with your writing that I can see!

Wikket, you summed up perfectly my feelings towards running..thanx, kindred spirit

wordancer, im glad you loved this...

Dopey, "i think odd is great"...i related to what you said and will think carefully about this thought-provoking point and perhaps even reply in verse

pegasus, sometimes being with the fools is cool but at times, it can get frustrating....enjiyed your reply, pun or not

u_gene, running in a snow storm...i cant understand these people myself...it never ceases to amaze me how differently people feel towards things huh?

kcs, i hate pain too..thanx for the reassurance...sometimes i wonder why my teammates relish in pain so much..hmmm

thanx all

Yeah, I know you love running... but I don't understand how can someone LOVE running. Personally, I find running is a pain.. haha, so now, when you write of the pains of running, I totally understand...
