to gain a fleeting control on his impermanence, in verse he places a time capsule, hoping that his essence will live on when others stumble upon his words will others however see the person behind his words and learn all that he has to impart or will they instead notice the spelling errors, the missing punctuation marks, the almost corny cliches, the mismatched metaphors? lucky he wasnt bothered by such considerations or else he might not have written |

LOL at Pegasus. I haven't noticed any of those things in your poetry, Kaile, so I doubt your descendants will, either. I'm pretty picky about that stuff, actually. It's an interesting question though. Kind of like not giving people a chance because of outward appearance, isn't it? To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

Kaile, If we only pay attention to grammatical form, the message might get lost in the shuffle, I agree, Form and prefection is secondary to the Message. Good Message for us ALL! Dennis :^) Moonbeams radiate When the veiling cloud has passed Playful shadows dance Dennis L. White :^) |

Ya know the exact thing happened to me today. I had written a poem for my sister on the birth of her son and i asked her how she liked it. She said she liked it but i had misspelled the word "there".I thought to myself Gee if that had been me recieving a poem from someone i never would have said that.It hurt but i will get over it cause the poem is what ment the most to me.Funny though when i checked my files the poem was spelled correctly. Go figure . Suzanne |

kaile..i'm a bit of a perfectionist..(tho slacking a bit as i get older..!LOL) so i do notice such errors..(however, mostly in my own stuff...) but i still believe the msg is the most important part..and i beleive those who remember only the errors, werent meant to get anything out of it anyway.. some get it..some dont.. {{and to suzanne...perhaps, your sister didnt know how to say..'thank you'...sometimes a loss brings out the wrong words.. ?}} hugs, g "sometimes a closed door provides us with walls to lean on....." -kathleen vibbert |

kaile, I so enjoyed this one. I have to admit, spelling and grammatical errors are a pet peeve of mine, but I always read for content first. And most importantly, I always look for your postings to read joanna What better way to become immortal than to wake up each day and write? Ray Bradbury |
