life is like running a marathon only the resilient and determined will win the race but alas, i have asthma and though i long to jog to catch up, you guys leave me far behind, ignoring my gasping as if i am forging it to make you stay |

So deep kaile...and such bitter truth. If only we people stopped from running the rat race once in a while to see the beauty and talent we were leaving behind. Well, for one, I appreciate your work kaile, and I think that you've already won your race with your touching works. Hit them where the heart is...! ~~Jamie "...I mean, when I first met you, you were all like, 'Oh Phooey, I burned the darn muffins.' Now, you walk into a bar, and sailors come runnin' out!" |

Very nice analogy, Kaile! I don't think you're behind at all! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

kaile, pehaps they are running in the wrong direction? ...and there are other way ways to win a race besides the obvious. Good words! "Come...dance with me, into my world of words." |

Kaile... For anyone to touch as many hearts as you and be left behind....it's an impossibility...we'll be watching your tail lights. Best |

I've always been content to be just a spectator in the crowd. I lend a hand or cheer the athletes when they need it. This way I participate in a slower paced race where my only prize is self esteme [This message has been edited by Quiet One (edited 01-02-2001).] |

i tend to think life is made up of many different races..and we find ourselves in them at all different paces..some times we are in the stands because someone else needs to be cheered on..sometimes we are in the background because someone else needs a quiet watchful eye..sometimes we crawl, sometimes we walk..sometimes we run...how we win depends on the race we are in... good write kaile..(hope you didnt write this between notes during a lecture.. lol) hugs, g "people who need people are the luckiest people..." barbra s. |

Wow.......the deepness of this one is great. I say that life is like that at times. I'm going to have to fully agree with you on this one. Great job! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I'm in love with my shadow I admire it daily |

Kaile, With every poem I read here, I realize more and more how much I'm not the only one who gets lonely or feels left out. We all have different reasons for feeling out of the crowd, but what we must remember is that we all deserve to be part of any crowd we wish. And we are part of the Passions crowd. Nothing can take that away from us. Dawn |

Hmm... how cruel of those who run ahead, but cest la vie. It's the survival of the fittest here, that's why the weak has to make use of other means to stay ahead. _,,,^.^,,,_ |
